Nel 2009, grazie al neo-acquisto Vettel, proveniente dalla squadra satellite Toro Rosso arrivano in Cina la prima pole e la prima vittoria. La stagione è molto positiva e la squadra arriva seconda nel campionato costruttori e Vettel é vice-campione del mondo.
